The Super Black is based on the world-famous Fender Blackface amps (1963-1968) in one compact pedal. The punchy, mid scooped and crystal-clear clean of the Blackface is matched by replicating the entire signal path in the pedal. It's definitely worth putting this pedal in the FX return of your amp, replacing the preamp for the full sound of the Super Black. By adjusting the gain and volume, you can experience the break-up of the Fender Blackface at any volume. Because several Blackface amps of different sizes were tested in which there were differences in the amount of bass and compression, Mad Professor added two switch options including bass cut and compression to the Super Black. The tone you are looking for from a Blackface amp can therefore be found no matter the model.
